Billing policy

How upgrades, cancellations, and launch-era refunds work.

Upgrades

Pro upgrades are processed through Stripe Checkout. Luota unlocks the paid plan after Stripe confirms the subscription through a webhook event. If the redirect completes before the webhook arrives, the billing page may briefly still show the previous plan.

Cancellation

Card updates and subscription cancellations happen in the Stripe billing portal. If Stripe marks the subscription as inactive or canceled, Luota will sync the workspace back to the Free plan on the next billing webhook update.

Refunds

Luota is currently in an early launch phase. If a billing issue, duplicate charge, or product defect materially blocks use of the paid plan, email alerts@luota.dev within 14 days and Luota will review the charge manually.

Promotions

Promotional discounts may be limited to a specific customer, a single redemption, or a one-time invoice. Promotions do not create an ongoing lower price unless the offer explicitly says so.
